Oktoberfest in Munich is the world's largest and most famous beer festival, held annually from late September to the first weekend in October. It features a lively celebration of Bavarian culture with traditional music, dancing, and a wide variety of local beers and hearty foods. The festival attracts millions of visitors from around the globe, who come to enjoy its festive atmosphere, colorful parades, and historic beer tents.

A dirndl is a traditional German dress that originated in the 19th century as peasant clothing in the Alpine regions of Austria and Bavaria. It's a stereotypical costume that's closely associated with German identity and is often worn by women at Oktoberfest.

[Optional] Come dressed to impress in your Lederhosen! Most costume shops carry them. Lederhosen are traditional leather breeches that are often worn at Oktoberfest celebrations around the world. The German word lederhosen literally translates to "leather pants", and the pants are typically short or knee-length and made from tanned deer leather.

Last year some Dewey Beach friends went to Oktoberfest in Munich Germany. They had so much fun they thought...
(1) We should produce an Oktoberfest in Dewey Every Year - and thanks to The Starboard it is a reality

(2) We should put a Dewey friends group trip together for friends and soon to be friends to go to the 2nd Largest Festival in the world in Munich - together!
